LED Bulbs
LEDs bulbs (a.k.a. bulbs that employ a light-emitting diode as a light source) are extremely popular in all spheres of our lives, including but not limited to automotive lighting. There are so many features that make them popular among American owners. Below are just some of them.
- LEDs are resistant to vibration, as they do not have fragile elements that can be easily damaged, such as glass and tungsten in regular bulbs.
- LEDs are resistant to temperature changes. They will work equally well in winter and summer, plus headlight LED bulbs feature powerful cooling units that withdraw extra heat as the bulbs operate.
- LEDs feature an extremely long lifespan, compared to the other light bulb types. On average, the lifespan of an LED bulb is around 30.000 hours, though some manufacturers claim their light bulbs will work for over 100.000 hours.
- LED bulbs are available in various colors, yet only white LEDs are allowed for usage in headlight bulbs. It is recommended to pick LEDs that feature 6.000K color output. This is clear cool white, which ensures the best visibility at night. Going more into yellowish or blueish-white is legal as well.
What are the best LED headlight bulbs?
Much depends on the headlight types. Do you have reflector or projector headlights? Or maybe dual-beam headlights?
